Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Introduction

This Refund & Cancellation Policy ("Policy") governs cancellations and refunds for training programs, memberships, competitions, donations, mobile application services, and other offerings provided by Maharashtra Sports Climbing Association (MSCA) through https://www.mymsca.org and its official mobile application.

By making a payment, registering for a program or membership, or making a donation through our website or app, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Policy.

2. General Policy

All payments made to MSCA are subject to this Policy.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in this Policy or required under applicable Indian laws:

  • All payments are non-refundable
  • Refunds are issued only in specific circumstances described below
  • Payment gateway, transaction, and processing charges are non-refundable
  • Refunds, if approved, will be processed only through the original payment method

3. Training Programs and Memberships

3.1 Cancellation by Participant

Participants may cancel their registration or membership; however:

No refund will be issued once payment has been successfully processed

This applies to:

  • Training programs
  • Membership fees
  • Workshops
  • Coaching sessions
  • App-based registrations

Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable once activated.

3.2 Cancellation by MSCA

If MSCA cancels a program due to reasons including but not limited to:

  • Insufficient enrollment
  • Instructor unavailability
  • Facility, safety, or logistical issues
  • Force majeure events (natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics)

MSCA may, at its discretion, offer one of the following:

  • A full refund, or
  • Transfer to another available program, or
  • Credit for future programs

3.3 Program Modifications

If MSCA modifies a program's schedule, location, or content:

  • Participants may continue with the modified program
  • Withdrawal due to such modification does not automatically entitle the participant to a refund
  • Transfer to another program may be allowed, subject to availability

3.4 No-Show Policy

Participants who fail to attend a program without prior notice are not eligible for any refund or credit.

4. Competition Registrations

4.1 Competition Entry Fees

Competition registration fees are non-refundable once registration is confirmed, except in the following cases:

  • Competition cancelled by MSCA: Full refund
  • Competition postponed: Option to participate in rescheduled event or receive a full refund
  • Medical emergency (with valid documentation):
    • Withdrawal more than 14 days before event: 50% refund
    • Withdrawal 7–14 days before event: 25% refund
    • Withdrawal less than 7 days before event: No refund

4.2 Disqualification

Participants disqualified due to rule violations, misconduct, or safety breaches are not eligible for any refund.

5. Donations

  • Donations made to MSCA are voluntary
  • Donations are non-refundable, except in cases of:
    • Duplicate transactions
    • Technical or payment gateway errors
    • Refunds mandated under applicable Indian law
  • Donation receipts, if applicable, will be issued in accordance with regulatory requirements

6. Refund Request Process

6.1 How to Request a Refund

Eligible refund requests must be submitted via email to:

Please include:

  • Transaction ID
  • Date of payment
  • Reason for refund request
  • Supporting documents (if applicable)

6.2 Review & Approval

  • Refund requests are reviewed within 5–7 business days
  • MSCA reserves the right to approve or reject requests in accordance with this Policy
  • Additional documentation may be requested

6.3 Refund Processing Time

Once approved, refunds will be processed via the original payment method:

  • Cards / Net Banking: 5–10 business days
  • UPI / Wallets: 3–5 business days
  • Bank Transfer (if required): 5–7 business days

Processing timelines may vary based on banks or payment gateways.

7. Non-Refundable Items

The following are non-refundable under all circumstances:

  • Payment gateway or transaction fees
  • Administrative or processing charges
  • Membership periods already started
  • Services already delivered or partially consumed
  • App access already activated
  • Merchandise, unless defective or incorrectly supplied

8. Force Majeure

In events beyond MSCA's reasonable control (natural disasters, pandemics, government orders):

  • Programs may be rescheduled
  • Credits for future programs may be offered
  • Refunds may be issued at MSCA's discretion

9. Dispute Resolution

If you disagree with a refund decision, you may:

  • Request a review with additional documentation
  • Contact MSCA management for clarification

All disputes will be resolved in good faith and in accordance with applicable Indian laws.

10. Policy Updates

MSCA reserves the right to modify this Policy at any time.

  • Updates are effective immediately upon posting
  • The Policy applicable at the time of payment will govern that transaction
